The Valmer Resort Story

Valmer Resort is a luxurious establishment located in the heart of Baie Lazare, a serene and unspoiled part of Mahé Island’s southern coast. Nestled among the hills along the coast, the resort is just a few minutes by foot from the spectacular white sandy beach of Baie Lazare.

Since its establishment, the hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment and renovation over the years to enhance customer experience. Common areas have been tastefully renovated while new facilities have been added including additional parking spaces, a children’s playground, a convenient club car service, two new Junior Villa Suites with their private jacuzzis, and the new Pool Villa. In October 2015, a fully furnished gym and Frangipani Spa were introduced. Guests can now workout as well as enjoy a range of massages, facials, and nail care provided by skilled Balinese spa therapists. Early in 2016, the hotel unveiled eight Ocean View Suites which provide an idyllic retreat for couples in search of privacy, luxury, and tranquility.

Dining at the Valmer Resort

Guests at the Valmer Resort are in for an exciting dining experience. We have two on-site establishments that cater to your needs.

• Le Palmier Restaurant. Having recently undergone extensive renovation, Le Palmier is once again open to delight guests with traditional Creole cuisine as well as international favorites. Featuring palm trees, lush flora, and scenic views of the mountains and ocean, the restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere for your meals. We offer an à la carte menu for both lunch and dinner, as well as table d’hôte options for dinner. Occasionally, we also host special themed evening buffets, adding a touch of excitement to your dining experience. You can join us daily at Le Palmier Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• La Gaulette Bar. Located next to the infinity pool, La Gaulette offers guests captivating panoramic views of Anse Gaulette Beach. The bar welcomes you throughout the day and late into the evening. Sit on our tall bar stools and enjoy a refreshing cocktail while soaking in the splendid views. Our extensive drink menu includes a variety of options including classics as well as our signature cocktails.

• Ocean View Suite. 50 square meters and accommodates 2 adults. Set among lush tropical forests with spectacular views, features include en suite bathroom, private balcony, tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, telephone, safety box, and grooming sets.
• Deluxe Villa. 65 square meters and accommodates 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years. Features include en suite bathroom, private open deck terrace, kitchenette, living and dining area, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, telephone, safety box, and grooming sets.
• 2-Bedroom Family Villa. Featuring 2 bedrooms, this villa has a total of 120 square meters and can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Features include en suite bathrooms, private open-air dining and lounge areas, open wooden deck terrace with tropical garden or ocean views, open-plan kitchenette, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, telephone, safety box, and grooming sets.
• Junior Villa Suite. 55 square meters and accommodates 2 adults. Features include an outdoor jacuzzi, private open wooden deck terrace with ocean views, refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, telephone, safety box, and grooming sets.
• Pool Villa. Features 90 square meters and a private 5-meter by 3.5-meter pool. Features include en suite bathroom with bathtub, a large private wooden deck terrace with ocean views, open-plan kitchenette, spacious living and dining areas, tea and coffee facilities, espresso machine, 2 flat screen TVs, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, telephone, safety box, and grooming sets.
